Dan Krispinsky on competing at the Bassmaster B.A.S.S. Nation Kayak Series on Lake Fork

This Saturday, March 13th I will be competing the the Bassmaster B.A.S.S. Nation Kayak Series on Lake Fork. This is the same event in which I took home 2nd place after posting a 97.75 inch limit last year with the ChaseBaits Pumpkin Seed MudBug. With Kayak Tournament Bass Fishing our 5 fish limit is based upon the length of the fish not weight. I expect the pattern to be the same as last year with the spawn to be in full swing again. The plan is to target the beds and sight fish for giant females hungry again for a pumpkin seed MudBug. I expect the fish to not be able to resist the floating and fluttering claws and the defensive position the Chasebaits MudBug presentation shows while resting on their beds. I also plan to throw the plum color Chasebaits paddle tail swim bait when searching for fish that may still be in a prespawn stage or searching for their bed. Overall I’m excited and hopeful to get back out on this trophy lake once again and have a great chance to improve on my 2nd place finish and take home the winning hardware. Tight lines!
